It was JPA’s in-depth understanding of luxury interiors and its ability to deliver a seamless passenger experience that led to JPA being appointed by Oman Air to design its new First and Business Class lounges at Muscat Airport.
JPA provided a comprehensive range of services including research, a full conceptual design package, product design, design development and engineering, materials sourcing, testing and specification and full project management.
Launched in January 2011, the lounges cover a floor area of 1100 square metres and are located on the first floor of the Terminal. They combine the ultimate in modern and elegant interior design, state-of-the-art materials and technology combined with elements of contemporary Arabian design. Each lounge is open 24 hours a day and offers dedicated dining facilities, quiet rooms, men’s and women’s prayer rooms, wash and shower rooms, a business centre, and a “Chedi” spa with massage rooms.

“JPA worked closely with Oman Air’s in-flight management team to ensure that each lounge reflects the quality and values found within the airline’s new premium cabins. The VIP/First Class facility is spacious and enjoys natural daylight and is inspired by the design of a high-end boutique hotel incorporating contemporary Arabic style influences.”
