Air China opens it's 3rd Airport Lounge designed by JPA
Air China has appointed JPA to design nine airport lounges in five airports, as well as to compile a design manual for the creation of more than 40 other lounges across China. The project unites JPA’s expertise in interior architecture, aviation and hospitality design, and follows previous JPA lounges for Singapore Airlines, Oman Air and Gulf Air.
The latest lounge to open, the third in the programme and the first to feature an innovative ‘open top’ design, is the ‘Air China Lounge’ at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.
JPA’s design director Alex Duncan is managing the design team and says:
“Air China’s breadth of vision is hugely impressive. This project’s range of design challenges and outstanding opportunities to support the Air China brand has made it both exciting and rewarding.”
