JPA undertook full-scope interior design for the entire resort.
65 elegantly set villas and suites, offering spectacular views of the sea, private pools, open garden showers, al-fresco lounge and dining areas, and more. There are two restaurants, a bar, a signature ayurvedic spa, a state-of–the-art sports club and a kids club.
The interiors were inspired by French Colonial, Indian, African, and Arabic design. |

Launched: Completed in Phases 2001 - 2004
Full interior renovation of 18th Century Maharana's palace comprising 85 rooms and suites, 3 food and beverage outlets and spa.
During the concept phase of the project our senior designers spent time in Udaipur and elsewhere in Rajasthan researching local crafts, skills and artifacts.
Many details found in our designs are referenced from the original palace structure or from the adjacent City Palace. Likewise the materials used are in keeping with the original building. |

Launched: 2005-2006
Taj Exotica Resort, Maldives - This award winning, 6 star deluxe resort is set on one of the largest lagoons of the Maldives. Following the tsunami of 2004, JPA was employed as lead consultant to fully remodel the resort. This included the construction of a new spa and a 5000sq ft presidential suite, plus the complete renovation of 64 villas, reception lobby, 3 F and B outlets, library and boutique.
Jiva Grande Spa, Maldives - The spa is fanned around a central courtyard garden and includes with over-water spa pavilions, private sundecks and relaxation spaces. The spa design reflects the elements of nature such as wood and natural stone to provide a sense of openness and relaxation. |

Project Title: Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, Grand Presidential Suite
Launched: 2002
The design task was to combine nine typical guestrooms plus the associated corridor space into a grand presidential suite.
The suite has a large living room, a dining room, a master bedroom, en-suite dressing room and bathroom, a fully equipped study complete with laptop, plasma TV and a library, a mini gym with treadmill and two guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Bank Restaurant Private Dining Room, London

Project Title: Private Dining Room, Bank Restaurant, London
Launched: November 2002
Creation of a 30 cover, flexible layout private dining room which can be opened to become part of the main restaurant and which respects the unique nature of the original restaurant design.
Partially opaque glazed screens follow the lines of the original chandelier, allowing occupants to be aware of the activity in the main restaurant, while enjoying the more intimate feel of the new area.
The substantial screens can slide aside into the ‘goalpost’ uprights so that the area is integrated back into the main body of the Restaurant. |

This fine-dining restaurant takes its form from the traditional Kerala rice boat.
All 30 covers enjoy panoramic views of the adjacent backwaters, ensuring that guests have the sense of dining on board one of these traditional vessels.
The freshest seafood is prepared in a showcase kitchen, where the catch of the day is displayed on glowing beds of ice.

Launched: 2005
Hilton Hotel Kuching overlooks the picturesque riverside in the heart of Kuching City.
JPA undertook the interior refurbishment of key public areas of the hotel. The reconfigured spaces brought about a new lobby reception, jewellery gallery, lifestyle cafe and a contemporary bar/nightclub.
The contemporary interiors convey a sense of place through the use of indigenous motifs within the interior architecture, derived from traditional Sarawak handicrafts and textiles. |

JPA undertook full-scope interior design for the renovation of the entire tower wing, including 63 guestrooms, two restaurants and the tower wing lobby. |

The spa overlooks Tamarin Bay and is built around a central courtyard with verdant gardens and a reflecting pool. The spa offers six treatment suites with their own relaxation gardens along with a sanarium, laconium and hamam. External tropical showers and resting pavilions are included in the design which blends local and colonial influences. |

Project Title: Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India
Launched: 2004-2006
Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the great palaces of India, originally built over 15 years and finished in 1943. The building fused Indian and art deco styles and JPA kept to these themes in the refurbishment.
The project was completed in two phases and included a full renovation of guestrooms, conversion of existing rooms into suites, reception, a new spa, restaurants and bars, palm court, royal suites, tented spa, a retail boutique and other public areas. |

Singapore Airlines First Class Reception, Changi Airport, Singapore

Project Title: Singapore Airlines First Class Reception, Changi Airport, Singapore
Launched: 1998
The concept was to remove the conventional check-in desks and replace them with a service environment more befitting a 5-star hotel.
Traditional check-in desks were replaced with tables and chairs, creating a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere.
The entire lounge is fitted with limestone walls and flooring, with warm onyx panels surrounded with Santos rosewood.
Two water features, add movement to the area, one being a water spout feature the other a reflective pool with a lotus copper sculpture in the centre. Other sculptures and fresh flowers further decorate the spacious area. |
