An airy, shimmering, oasis where passengers can relax, unwind and indulge before take-off
Merges modern and global with artisan and local

As a key part of an overall brand refresh for Gulf Air, JPA designed an all-new premium lounge for Gulf Air at London’s Heathrow. At 600 square metres, the result is both intimate and airy, and gives passengers panoramic views across the airport. With a contemporary, international atmosphere but equally influenced by strands of Arabic culture, and Bahrain’s own history, the Falcon Gold Lounge merges modern and global with artisan and local, traditional Bahrain dwellings, pearl-fishing, and local architecture all informing a unique and special space.

The high-ceilinged main lounge offers passengers a very comfortable and relaxing experience with lounge seating zones defined by stunning, metal-beaded curtains which veil views from area to area. This surrounds the central feature bar which adapts to be either self-service at quieter times if necessary or fully staffed at busy times.

The buffet serves a quick-turnaround cafe as well as the elegant, plush restaurant area

The neutral, warm colours and understated, sophisticated materials palette are the perfect backdrop for the vibrant, blue velvet upholstered banquette seating and wrapped wall panelling while stunning, colourful abstract works of art and contemporary urns and vases add a final layer of personality to ensure that passengers enjoy this compelling experience to the full.
